From Monday through Friday (8:30am to 2:00pm) the VDS offers its services at its permanent location inside the Consular Section of the Embassy of Mexico located at
1250 23rd St. NW Washington, DC 20037
OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
Large part of the VDS activities are performed outside of the Consular Section trying to reach the community that cannot visit the Consular Section or that do not know the VDS program. Having a mobile VDS is a great advantage for families in need that do not have transportation available.
Mobile consulates
The Consular Section plans about 12 mobile consulates around the year at different locations in Maryland and Virginia, the VDS would collaborate in as many of them as possible, providing its basic services and in some cases organizing health fairs depending on the location, and the available resources.
Monthly visits
VDS has partnered with couple of local agencies or churches to perform monthly visits to their location to provide VDS services and vision screenings if the public require it. Currently there are 3 locations that the VDS visits on a monthly basis:
